Children ages 6-9 are invited to join facilitator Joy Ackert for a unique 8-session homeschool series running from April 3 through May 22. All sessions will meet at Riverside on Tuesday afternoons from 12:30 PM - 4:00 PM.
This series presents an opportunity for homeschoolers to come together in a community setting and learn about the natural world, themselves, and each other. We provide a predictable, intentional rhythm to the day, cultivating active engagement with the lessons and the land. Students will participate in a variety of learning practices such as nature journaling, simple experiments, storytelling, crafts and handwork.
Program will be held rain or shine. Please send your child with appropriate attire for all-weather outdoor adventuring. Students will also need to bring a water bottle, snack and a bag/pack to carry work and supplies.
Price is $240/child for the full 8-week series. Spaces are limited. Registration closes March 1, 2018 or when spaces are filled.
Note: Depending on response, we will consider growing this offering into a more regularly occurring program during the 2018-2019 school year. Those enrolled in this 8-week series will be given priority for any future homeschool programming offered.
